i originally figured we'd post our intros under scotty's topic, so if you've looked in that one, you'll see this - at least the first part - already. however, since everyone else has started their own intro, i guess i'll do mine then, too. i can make it more in-depth this way, i suppose. 
hey there, i'm tara (/lux).
i am 25, i currently live in wisconsin, and my favourite season is autumn. (it's coming!!!!  ) i talk an awful lot and have great difficulty being concise.
i do believe in a form of a 'higher power,' though my belief system is more of an amalgam; i prefer to look at the positives from different religions and focus on those, rather than all the negatives (such as intolerance, discrimination, the obsessive focus of all of our inherent flaws, etc).
i feel that a person's conduct on earth is important, not that we all get a free ride if we just accept a saviour. because of this, i enjoy learning about eastern religions, as ethics & morals & enlightenment are focal points.
despite all of this, i am equally a defender of atheism and theism; i understand the cases for both (i hope, hah), and i strive to keep an open mind. i hope others can say the same. 
as for the rest of my personal life...
i live with two animals: my fiancé, mike, and cat, linus.
my 'favourite things' list is incredibly long, so i'll condense it to the top five, in no particular order:
-reading
-music/singing
-art
-learning, and
-language.
...okay, and i also looooooooove the 1940s & '50s, older music, and old films. i may well be stuck in time.
