Hey everyone,

I am 25, live in California and am an official agnostic.

I used to be Christian but started becoming honest with myself a few years ago and decided that I didn't know whether there was a God.

If God is a question, religion is out of the question.

Don't get me wrong -- I want there to be a God but I don't see any good evidence for one.

All that aside, I'd like to see what you fine people have to offer in terms of ... things I've never heard before.

Thanks,
Scott

hey there,  i'm tara (/lux, whichever you prefer).

i am also 25, i live in wisconsin, and i adore autumn. Cheesy  i talk an awful lot and have difficulty with being concise.

i do believe in a form of a 'higher power,' though my belief system is more of an amalgam; i prefer to look at the positives from different religions and focus on those, rather than all the negatives (such as intolerance, discrimination, the obsessive focus of all of our inherent flaws, etc).

i feel that a person's conduct on earth is important, not that we all get a free ride if we just accept a saviour.  because of this, i enjoy learning about eastern religions, as ethics & morals & enlightenment are focal points.

despite all of this, i am equally a defender of atheism and theism; i understand the cases for both (i hope, hah), and i strive to keep an open mind.  i hope others can say the same. Smiley

welcome to the site. (=
