I'm glad you brought up the gospel. More on that tomorrow, I'm too lazy tonight.
The suspense is killing me...

Sorry! I'm in Hawai'i right now! I haven't really gotten around to writing anything on the subject yet. But if the suspense is really killing you, pick up the book, "The God Delusion". It shows just a few of the inaccuracies and contradictions in the gospel which destroys any credibility at all.

Of course there are way more inaccuracies and contradictions than he shows, and I could bring a great many of them up, but he gets the idea across much better than I ever could.

I made a change a few posts back:  L_R linked to a video on youtube; I changed the code so that the video will play in the thread.  might make it easier Wink

ps L_R - it's 'definitely' Tongue  hehe

re. melidere's miracles post:
I think some things are unexplained thus far, but it's quite plausible that everything can be explained at some point, even if not in the present.  there are too many frontiers humans haven't mastered, not the least of which being the human mind, for the first and only possible answer to be divinity.
I am not ruling out this possibility by any means; however, I don't think it is fair to propose that it is solely responsible.

Posting from Hawaii!

Thank you for telling me how to spell it Pyroclasticlux...

Also, thank you for knowing the  ";however," rule. It bugs the hell out of me when people don't do that. It also applies to a few other words, but the only one I can think of is "yet".

Anyways,

Us not being able to explain something doesn't mean that God did it. Not even close. However, us not being able to explain something, because that something has no proof of even existing, then it isn't real.

Essentially, stuff that happens that we can explain is real, something that has no shred of evidence for being real, isn't.*

*Unless of course we see evidence for it in the future. But for now it is perfectly acceptable to say that it isn't real.

Anyways, I'm working on an essay to post here about the validity of the bible. My mom is always around when we aren't doing touristic (That's not the right word, is it?) stuff so I can't work on it as much as I would like too.

I'm really curious about it; no rush, though - enjoy your holiday away!  Cheesy
