i hope that political candidates will get back to this sort of campaigning.  (i know, pipe dream....) 

it's definitely easier to take the 'attack route,' but that's the sort of campaign that frustrates and dissuades me a great deal.  it has been steadily increasing in recent years, and it makes a great diversion so the candidates don't have to actually address what their plans are & how they feel about important issues.

this ad is straightforward, honest (from what i can discern, anyhow; it -is- a politician, haha), and directly addresses the viewer.
it's f*cking brilliant, really.


let's see how long it takes mccain to parrot.  Tongue
